This July I'm Pedalling To Fight Parkinson's for my Mum..

My Mum, Lisa (the Legend), has been battling Parkinson’s for many years. We’ve seen first-hand the way it can change a person’s life but there is a reason we’re calling ourselves ‘Lisa’s Legends’. Whilst Mum battles this disease every hour of the day, it’s pretty rare that you’ll ever hear her complain about having Parkinson’s. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, she’s incredibly resilient, persistent and positive to make the most of her situation. She’s a Parkinson’s Legend.

So, this July I’ll be Pedalling to Fight Parkinson’s for my Mum and others who live with it every day. Seems fitting that I’ll be riding a bike for my Mum when over 20 years ago, she was the one who taught me how to! 

Fun fact! My mum rides a stationary bike for 20mins everyday. So, for every $1000 ‘Lisa’s Legends’ raise, I’ll ride for 1 hour on the bike. 

We’re raising funds to support life-changing research and improve services for people living with Parkinson's.

Sadly, 1 Australian is diagnosed with Parkinson’s every 40 minutes and there is currently no cure. I'm doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for people impacted by Parkinson's.
