This July, I’m Pedalling to Fight Parkinson’s 💙

Parkinson’s disease changed my family’s life forever. My mum was just 45 when she was diagnosed. She was strong, independent, full of energy and little by little, I watched that change. This cruel disease slowly stiffens the body, affects movement, and chips away at quality of life. It’s heartbreaking to watch someone you love deteriorate in front of you.

That’s why I’m taking part in a challenge this July, to ride, raise funds, and fight for better outcomes for people living with Parkinson’s. Every kilometre I pedal is for my mum, and for the thousands of others living with this condition.

Sadly, 1 Australian is diagnosed with Parkinson’s every 40 minutes and there is currently no cure. I'm doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for people impacted by Parkinson's.
