Terms and Conditions
In consideration of and as a condition of acceptance of my entry in Pedal to Fight Parkinson’s Event (the Event):
- I hereby attest and verify that the information I have supplied in this entry registration is true and correct and I understand that any false information provided by me may lead to my disqualification from the Event.
- I hereby attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently prepared and/or am supported for the Event. I further attest and verify that I do not have any physical or intellectual impairment that may make my participation unsafe for myself or others.
- I, for myself, my heirs, my executors and administrators hereby waive and release the Event organiser The Hospital Research Foundation Inc, its agents, affiliates, employees, members, sponsors, promoters, volunteers and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with my participation in this Event and indemnify them against all liability for all injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this Event. This release continues forever and binds my heirs, successors, executors, personal representatives, and assigns.
- I hereby acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and athletic equipment during the Event.
- I hereby consent to receive such medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during the Event.
- I agree to comply with all the rules and directions of Event officials and their servants and/or agents.
- I hereby grant to The Hospital Research Foundation Inc and contractors or suppliers engaged by The Hospital Research Foundation Inc in connection with the Event a royalty-free right to use my name, image and likeness in broadcasts, telecasts, media press and materials and promotional materials connected to the Event.
- I hereby grant consent for The Hospital Research Foundation Inc contractors, suppliers and sponsors to send me material relating to Pedal to Fight Parkinson’s 2026.
- I agree to have my personal details recorded and used by The Hospital Research Foundation Inc for further communications and the promotion of future events. I understand I can access further information about how my personal information will be handled by accessing The Hospital Research Foundation Inc Privacy Policy at https://hospitalresearch.org.au/privacy-policy/
a. By registering for this Event and providing my contact details, I consent to being contacted by The Hospital Research Foundation Inc and third parties acting on behalf of The Hospital Research Foundation Inc regarding the Event, Pedal to Fight Parkinson’s, and future events. This includes email marketing and other digital marketing and advertising.
b. I understand that I may opt out of receiving further electronic marketing communications by following the opt-out instructions provided in the communication. - By registering as a participant of this Event, I accept that I may be captured in Event photography on the day to promote the Event and future events. I understand that I can advise the photographer on the day if I would like to be excluded from photography, or by contacting events@hospitalresearch.org.au to be excluded from any future promotional materials.
- All donations for the Event will be received by The Hospital Research Foundation Inc, which is a deductible gift recipient, and donations over $2.00 will be tax deductible.
- All fundraising donations for the Event must be made through the participant’s online event fundraising page on Funraisin - www.funraisin.co (Funraisin ABN 90 1476 291 50). The Privacy Policy for Funraisin can be viewed here: https://www.funraisin.co/privacy-policy
- Donations will not be refunded in any circumstances, including where the participant is unable to participate in the Event or the Event is cancelled.
- I have read the above declarations and conditions of entry and agree to abide by these and all other terms and conditions or directions issued by The Hospital Research Foundation Inc.
- I accept the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all entries in this order.

Pedal to Fight Parkinson's – Barossa Country Championships Activation
Terms & Conditions
The Pedal to Fight Parkinson's Static Bike Challenge (Competition) is conducted by The Hospital Research Foundation Inc (ABN 86 248 830 078) during the Barossa SANFL Country Championships on Saturday, 11 July 2026 from 8.30am-6pm.
By participating in the virtual cycling activity, participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Participation in the Competition is free of charge.
2. To enter the Competition, participants must complete one attempt on the designated static bike during the Competition period. Each participant will have 50 seconds to cycle as fast as possible, with performance measured by the organiser's designated tracking system.
3. The three (3) participants who record the furthest distance (as determined by The Hospital Research Foundation Group) during the Competition will receive one (1) prize, as follows:
o The winner who records the longest distance will receive two (2) Adelaide Oval Roof Climb experiences (valued at AUD $250), one (1) bottle of wine (valued at AUD $45) and one (1) mini football (valued at AUD $30). Total prize value: AUD $325.
o The winner who records the second longest distance will receive one (1) X-Golf voucher (valued at AUD $100) and one (1) bottle of wine (valued at AUD $30). Total prize value: AUD $130.
o The winner who records the third longest distance will receive one (1) Mosaic Hotel voucher (valued at AUD $100) and one (1) bottle of wine (valued at AUD $30). Total prize value: AUD $130.
Total number of winners: 3
Total prize pool value: AUD $585
Winners will be notified and presented with their prize on the day of the Competition, where possible. If a winner cannot be contacted or is no longer present at the event, The Hospital Research Foundation Group may determine an alternative method of prize collection. The organiser's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
4. Participant Eligibility and Safety
Participants confirm that they are physically capable of safely participating in the activity. Participants should not take part if they have a medical condition, injury, or other circumstance that may make participation unsafe. Participants acknowledge that cycling is a physical activity and accept responsibility for determining their own fitness to participate.
5. Participation Risk
Participants take part at their own risk, and acknowledge that participation involves physical exertion and inherent risks including injury, illness and other loss. To the maximum extent permitted by law, each participant releases and discharges The Hospital Research Foundation Groupfrom liability for personal injury, death, loss or damage arising from participation in the activity.
6. Under 18 Participants
Individuals aged 15–17 years may participate in the virtual cycling activity for demonstration purposes only but are not eligible to enter the Competition or win any prizes. Participation is voluntary and at their own risk. Participants under 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to take part and must follow all safety instructions and directions provided by event staff.
7. Event Safety and Participation Requirements
Participants agree to follow all reasonable directions provided by event staff and officials. The organiser reserves the right to refuse participation, stop a participant’s attempt, or remove a participant from the activity where it is considered unsafe or where these Terms & Conditions are not followed.
8. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings during the activity. The organiser accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items.
9. Photography, Video and Promotional Use
By participating, entrants grant The Hospital Research Foundation Group a royalty-free right to use their name, image, photograph, video footage and likeness in promotional, marketing and media materials relating to Pedal to Fight Parkinson's. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or filmed should advise event staff or the photographer on the day.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Competition will be handled in accordance with The Hospital Research Foundation Group’s Privacy Policy, available at https://hospitalresearch.org.au/privacy-policy.
11. Marketing Communications
By providing their contact details, participants consent to being contacted by Parkinson’s South Australia Inc, a charity of The Hospital Research Foundation Group, regarding the Competition and future events, campaigns and fundraising initiatives relating to Parkinson’s. Participants may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided.
12. Competition Changes or Cancellation
The organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Competition if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make it necessary to do so.
13. The Hospital Research Foundation Group
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions ‘The Hospital Research Foundation Group’ means The Hospital Research Foundation Inc and its related entities, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, sponsors and event partners.
14. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By participating in the activity, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
