This year, I'm Pedalling To Fight Parkinson's...
This cause is deeply personal to me. I live with Early Onset Parkinson’s, and earlier this year I underwent DBS surgery, a journey that has challenged me physically, emotionally, and mentally in ways I never could have imagined. I definitely underestimated it, as only I could. Ha..Ha..
Parkinson’s is so much more than a tremor. It affects every part of life, from movement and pain, to independence, confidence, and the simple things many people take for granted. But despite everything this disease takes, I refuse to let it take away my determination to make a difference.
That is why I am forming my own team and fundraising to support life-changing research and improve services for people living with Parkinson’s.
Sadly, 50 Australians are diagnosed with Parkinson’s every single day, and currently there is no cure. Research is critical, not only to one day find a cure, but also to improve quality of life for people like me who live with this disease every day.
By supporting me, you are supporting hope. Hope for better treatments, better support, greater understanding, and ultimately, a future without Parkinson’s.
Every donation, no matter the size, genuinely makes a difference, and means more to me than I can properly put into words.
Thank you for standing beside me on this journey. 💙
